If you are working on yourself with affirmations, these yoga derived somatic exercises can help your body integrate the information more easily.
Breathe in cycles of three deeply, affirming on your out breath.
Mantras of forgiveness or self love are particularly supported in these fetal poses.
Some great examples you can try are "I forgive myself/my Mum/my Dad" "I love myself" "I am good enough" "I am loveable" "I've got me" etc.
The breathing helps to move consciousness through the fascia, with the twisting/hugging positions you feel safe and loved, the affirmations are more readily accepted by your subconscious mind (your body).
Always roll up and come out of these positions slowly and carefully. Allow yourself time for emotions to come up and let them go once they have moved through you. Take processing time afterwards, dancing or walking are great follow up practices to help with this.
Let me know how you feel after these Fascial Manoeuvres in the comments. Save this reel to watch again when you need it and share it with a friend who needs to try these positions.
If you'd like more guided intention, movement and breath work coaching you can book one to one sessions in person or over video meeting with me. The link is in my bio! Ask about my free consultation calls and I'll send you a link to book.
